A warm welcome

We were met by the charm of thatched roofs and cobbled passageways. A sparrow and her chicks greeted us with their sweet chirps throughout our stay.

Afternoon tea

Once we had settled in, we took the liberty to have the free afternoon tea with a white chocolate and rhubarb cake accompanied by tea and coffee. (They were wonderful in knowing I was gluten-free and made me the gluten-free version).

The Bedroom

Our room: Part of The Inn, a small cottage complete with a fireplace, spread over two floors. Living room, bathroom and front terrace on the ground floor, bedroom on the second.

The Harbour

The first day we were met with sunshine and perfectly warm weather with a gentle breeze. We took the opportunity to walk a short ways to the harbour through forested pathways and an outdoor smokehouse where they smoke their own fish.

The Dining Room

Gorgeous views of the harbour were directly in front of the dining room, encased in a conservatory. This is where we experience a four-course meal for dinner on both nights at the Michelin Star Restaurant by Chef Per Hallundbaek. At Falsled Kro, they grow their own vegetables and smoke their own fish.

Breakfast

This is my favourite part of the day, so to be treated two days in a row to this beautiful spread, got me feeling very lucky and so warm and fuzzy. I wish I could have this every day!

The Details

In every corner, there were elements of nature and simple beauty, carefully chosen to reflect the surrounding area and colours.

A parting gift from Falsled Kro

They kindly gifted me with this delicious book with the most beautiful, inspiring imagery of the food from their restaurant by the Chef.

For the moment it looks like you can only buy it there, locally or on Danish websites.
