This would make my grandma proud

Another month, another course with Curious House. This time with Caroline Zoob (great name!).

This was something intriguing because I had never heard of painting before stitching. As a painter going through a journey of letting go of perfectionism and allowing myself to be free with my self-expression, this was so up my alley.

I loved Caroline’s approach to painting first because it allows the inks/watercolours to bleed into the fabric and be free. You aren’t bound to decide on colour as much as you would if you chose the embroidery first. I loved letting the inks bleed a bit out of the lines and seeing how the colours worked their magic. Then it was a matter of choosing a thread colour that closely matched the inks.
