  • A journey worth taking

Although a 50 minute drive from my little village in the Cotswolds, as soon as I arrive, rain or shine, I feel a sense of calm.

    Work away from home

With a roaring fire in the winter, an overall luxury yet down-to-earth boutique feel, it’s a cosy place. It’s intimate enough that you feel comfortable and looked after, like a home away from home but spacious enough that you can get on with whatever you need to do without being overly bothered.

    Afternoon tea

One of my favourites, especially for those who cannot eat gluten, they make as much effort in each bite as the regular one. Where a lot of places fall back on brownies and the usual sandwich combinations, they push the boundaries of flavour texture and aesthetics.

I was so grateful for the truffle grilled cheese. :)

    Festive season

The smell, crackle and warmth of the fire as you walk in. Understated decorations.

    Interiors

The light fixtures, colour scheme, quirky wallpaper balanced with classic plumbing fixtures, natural light filled conservatory dining area.

It teaches readers how to create their own “getaway space” from modern stressors through diary-style prose and lifestyle advice that promotes “lightweight living.” The studio extension showcases Chikae O.H.’s illustrations and photography.
